Buying a Southern California Home? Search all homes for sale
Hello, and welcome back! With the busy spring real estate season just around the corner, we want to address whether it's better to sell now or to wait until later. If you were to come in to talk to us, we would ask you the following questions to see what's best for you:
- What's important about selling? Determining your motivation to sell will give us an idea of how urgent it is.
- Are you prepared to comparably price your home? If you're not willing to price your home according to what similar homes have sold for, you may want to wait until you're in a position to get what you want for your home.
- Are you considering renting the home? You need to account for the insurance, maintenance, vacancy, and repairs, in addition to the monthly payments you make on the home.
We've recently come out of 33 consecutive months of appreciation, which
means the market is continuing to stabilize. Inventory is once again on
the rise and buyer demand is starting to soften. However, interest
rates are still great and inventory levels remain favorable. In Orange
County, we still only have 3.1 months of inventory, while in the desert
we have just over 8 months.
With the market looking the way it currently does, it's really up to you whether now is the right time to make your move. We
would love to walk you through the entire process and answer any
questions you might have about taking advantage of the seller's market.
The one thing we can say for sure: if you're looking to sell at some
point this year, now just might be the time to get the best results!
