A Better Way to Home Search Online
A hot story that came out over the last week and a half is internet home search site Zillow's acquisition of their biggest competitor, Trulia, for $3.5 billion. 98% of people begin their home search online, and these are by far the two most popular sites that are used for home searches. It's really important to know more about these sites because they may affect your search without you even knowing it.
One of the biggest gripes we get from users is that these websites are inaccurate. They use advanced algorithms to determine home values, but don't take into account everything that an actual real estate agent would to determine the right price. They are great for starting your search, and researching schools and neighborhoods, but the inaccuracies in their criteria may not necessarily give you factual information.
